The Mitel® 5550 IP Console is an advanced PC-based enterprise operator solution with a highly intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) that utilizes screen-based call status along with call handling prompts, and real-time busy lamp field (BLF) status, to make the 5550 IP Console the complete answer point solution for any business. With the industry leading Transfer Assistant, operators are more efficient and accurate then ever before. The Transfer Assistant provides operators with an automatic, dynamic search for every caller and displays the most-likely transfer destinations in a compact, visually pleasing layout.

Utilizing Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007 for presence and instant messaging capabilities, gives operators the ability to ensure that no customer is transferred to voice mail. With Microsoft Exchange® ,operators can run calendar look-ups to help see when an internal party's status will turn from busy to available, giving customers the best call experience possible.

Multi-tenanting support makes it easy for several companies to share a single answer point. Operators are prompted with Call Greeting Cards, making it simple for operators to handle calls in any multiple company scenarios.

Businesses free up valuable office space when operators work from home with the Teleworker solution through the Mitel Border Gateway (MBG), or set-up operators to help during peak call traffic times to make sure all customers get the professional service they deserve.

  • Quick Transfer / Answer: provides operators the ability to select how they want to transfer calls, using one of three methods: Normal, Auto-Transfer, Auto-Transfer / Answer (Auto-Transfer completes the transfer automatically when an operator selects a destination)
